"We reserved a table in the 1181 Restaurant for dinner to celebrate my birthday and we want to thank you for such an excellent evening! The food was superb and the staff were attentive without being overbearing - just perfect. We had not been to Howfield Manor since its relaunch. We will definitely come back! We will also recommend your hospitality to our friends and business colleagues. January 2011 - The Best of Canterbury"

"Our stay at the manor was very comfortable. We felt very welcome. We had a lovely party from our nephew and his wife on the 18th of September.  We're surely tell our friends." Mrs E.

HOWFIELD COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL Visit the historic city of Cantebury
Canterbury is a World Heritage site renowned for it's spectacular and historic cathedral, one of the oldest Christian structures in England and home of the worldwide Anglian communion. The cathedral's first archbishop was St. Augustine of Canterbury, previously abbot of St. Andrew's Benedictine Abbey in Rome. He was sent by Pope Gregory the Great in AD 597 as a missionary to the Anglo-Saxons. Augustine founded the cathedral in 602 AD and dedicated it to St. Saviour
