Coast & Countryside
Most of Kent's beaches and resorts are within 20 minutes drive of Howfield, including the genteel fishing port of Whitstable, the bright lights and attractions of Margate, the bustling and historic port of Ramsgate and the beautiful sandy beaches near Sandwich and Deal.
Further south, the port of Dover provides fast and easy access to continental Europe along with many other attractions inluding a famous castle, and the resorts of Folkestone and Hythe offer many of the attractions of the traditional British seaside town.
Kent is renowned as the "Garden of England" and nowhere is this more in evidence than at Sissinghurst, one of the worlds most celebrated gardens. You could combine this with a visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells, an elegant Georgian Spa Town with excellent shops and restaurants. Or simply enjoy the unspoilt Kent countryside, including the rolling hills of the Weald and many beautifully preserved windmills.
All in all, the Kent coastline and countryside offers many attractions for all types of visitor.
